I will TRY to remember to add to this post as I discover ideas. Someone on LM_NET recently asked for non-powerpoint presentation ideas for upper level classes. Some of the ideas that have come in are:
- iMovie is a great alternative…they could compose music with garage band (MACS) and add it to the movie. Audacity is a program for PCs – similar to garage band .

- Digital Storytelling and Reformning PowerPoint
- VoiceThread
- Animoto
- Flowgram
- PicLits
- GoAnimate
- Glogster
Do add VoiceThread (http://ed.voicethread.com) and Animoto (http://animoto.com/)to your list.
Audacity isn’t quite a substitute for iMovie, since it is only for audio, but added to Photostory makes quite a reasonable alternative.
Thanks! I think I have reworded it now to make it clear that audacity is similar to garage band not imovie. It got loss in the translation as I tried to summarize what I found of LM_NET. Thanks for the other great suggestions. I hope to keep adding to the list.
